Top 5 free apps for nokia 5800

1. Nokia messaging: Its an email client from nokia to send and receive mail from gmail, hotmail and yahoo. It also supports attachment to be sent. Hence i like it over gmail app from google which is java based and does not support attachments. This also has touch support. be sure to read instructions. The app is free for now in most places but will be converted to a paid app later.

2. Nimbuzz: Instant messaging client with support to numerous services like gmail,yahoo,msn/hotmail,facebook,gadu gadu, myspace and more. you can share pictures and videos with friends, send voice messages. You can also call your google tak and msn buddies through wifi or network connection. So you dont need a pc to voice chat. Good interface and touch support. Go to nimbuzz.com from pc or go to m.nimbuzz.com from your mobile web browser.

3. Tweets60: This is free twitter client with touch support. This may not be as good as gravity or twittix which are paid apps. But its a good choice over twitter mobile site and best for quick updates, direct messages, favourites and replies.
go to www.tweets60.com

4. Sms preview: We all get busy in our life. Remember that situation when you are quite busy with something and an sms arrives. Then you quickly grab your phone to browse to messaging application and you realize it was one of the forward message you get daily. Well, not any more. This apps displays a small window which shows a preview of sms that just arrived and disappears. You can also set the time for how long it can be should be displayed.

known issue: the ovi store versio does not show the message properly, hence use the link above.

Download Vopium & Save Money

Yes friends, the time has come. Now call your friends across the globe as if they are living just two blocks away. A new service called vopium has hit the market few weeks ago.

Vopium is a free software program installed on your mobile phone. When you make an international call, Vopium re-routes your call as a local call to a Vopium gateway and then via premium global traffic carriers to ensure top-notch voice quality. You pay your mobile provider for a local call and Vopium for the international add-on.

Similarly, when you send a text message (SMS) with Vopium the message is sent as a small data package over your data connection (GPRS, 3G or WiFi) via a Vopium gateway. You pay your operator close to zero for using your data connection and Vopium for the international SMS. In addition vopium offers free online back up of mobile contacts and calendar entries through their service called Vopium sync.

So what you waiting for go to www.vopium.com or visit m.vopium.com on your mobile web browser.
Vopium is now available in selected countries, but in no time you will under their network.

The Next level of mobile computing

Pranav Mistry, a 28-year old Indian-born researcher at the Media Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is the brain behind the "Sixth Sense" device. The "Sixth Sense" device (patented by MIT) contains a pocket projector, mirror and web camera bunched together in a wearable pendant-like mobile.

The device actually responds to our hand gestures. However it requires us to wear a little hand glove probably very skinny one, so that the camera can understand our gestures.

A "square frame" gesture will prompt the device to click a photo. The user can also stop by any surface or wall and flick through the photos taken. The device also allows a user to draw icons or symbols in the air using the index finger which is being recognized as interaction instructions. For instance, drawing an "@" symbol will let a user check his/her mail. The digital Sixth Sense device is an effort to bridge the gap between intangible and tangible world, allowing us to interact with the information via natural hand gestures.

Introducing The new Ipod Shuffle

Apple announced their new addition to the ipod line up a few days
back. The latest update comes to the ipod shuffle. The older ipod
shuffles have been replaced with a 4GB capacity product even smaller
in size, small like a door key. Apple claims that it can store up to
1000 songs. The more interesting feature about this product is that
it can actually talk to you the songs and playlist which is very handy
for a product that has no screen. The playlist feature is also new to
it. However, the voice over is a male for mac users and female for
windows users. I dont understand why that is. However we know alex in
mac which reads out everything on the screen for us.

The price saw a hike from $49 to $79. Apart from the
enhancements for the software, the new ipod shuffle also showcased
some hardware changes. In the picture as you can see there are no
controls on the device. They have been moved on to the headset. Well
that a little tricky way to stick you to the use apple in ear
headphones. Or you will have to buy an adapter with controls and then
hook your 3rd party headphones on to it. An adapter will again cause
you $15-20. And dont expect to roll out one. Anyway this is a much
more stylish and interesting device. If you were saving for an ipod,
then its time to buy.

Sports day 2009

After 2 years of break, i was finally on the track yesterday. Although i wasnt too tensed yet i realised that two years of no practice had drained all my stamina and power. The first round went easy but the second was just too difficult. Anyway i finished 4th putting 2 behind me. In a way i was happy considering the fact that it was a debut run after 2 years.

Nasa's carbon observatory crashes

Nasa's 9 years of hard work got blown up in 5 minutes. Yeasterday NASA's latest girl into space crashed into black waters of the south pole. Thank god it didnt hit any residential area in our continents. The satellite was launched aiming to learn how CO2 enters and leaves the atmosphere. The $278 million project thus became a failure. I could have spent it well on shopping !!!!

Good morning everyone. Microsoft's latest operatin system beta download has been closed by microsoft. The new os has increased stability and speed. Its also highly backwards compatible.
